A Tribute to Moms Everywhere 

On Sunday, may we all pause to celebrate and honor the heart and soul of so many families—our mothers! To every mom reading this: Happy Mother’s Day! May you feel deeply loved, valued, and appreciated—not just today but every single day. Moms work hard, and they love even harder.

Reflecting on my journey, I can’t help but think about my amazing mother, Betty. She was a full-time mom to seven children, with unwavering energy and love, even at the age of 48 when she had me, her youngest. I often wonder where she found the strength. But I know this: she instilled in me the belief that hard work is good for the soul, and that gardening nourishes it.

My mom was raised by a Lithuanian mother—my grandmother, whom I never met. Still, her legacy lived on through my mom’s love for animals, baking, and tending to her garden. Everything my mother did—meals, laundry, shopping, volunteering at the library—was done with care and purpose.

She passed on values I hold dear to this day: Midwestern morals, resilience, and a quiet strength that shows up in my life and business daily.

Someday, you may find yourself where I am now, looking back with gratitude on all the love, lessons, and sacrifices my mom gave to make my life better.
